Vector of Elisha Cuthbert. I stopped a while, then started again, stopped again... the hair was done, but I had difficulties with the skin. I stopped again. Then I found out about the gradient mesh and I finished the piece in two days.
Edited: I did the unthinkable I edited the mouth and the eyes, and did some minor modifications to the skin.
I made a wire too: click here to see it.
Awesome job on the dress..and well, body...haha Thats really hawwt!!
The hair could do wit a little detail, but then again teh rest of the vector is awesome. I like it.
Well, I definitely think you have talent. The complexity and thorough nature of this piece are something that I can't grasp since I don't know how to do this sort of work very well. The face, especially lips and lower nose are fantastic. The eyes still look weird to me, but otherwise it's fantastic.
The hair is the only thing that isn't done with gradient mesh (off course, there are some little things done in flat vectors), that's why it's not so detailed. Though, I think I couldn't do any more details in the hair (blonde hair is quite difficult to do, especially from elisha because it's very light colored.)
Indeed, I think the eyes are the "worst" part of the piece, together with the hair. And I'm really happy how the skin turned out. So in the future I should look more after these things. Thanks for the comment!
Well, I intentended to make a poster of this vector, so I couldn't start in Photoshop. And I don't like it either, mixing ps an illustrator. But like I said to lemontea, I'm happy with how it turned out, so it's a closed chapter for me.
Hehe sorry about that...since you had Advanced Critique Encouraged...i thought of writing something more...i feel bad.. sorry!!
It looks great, seriously.
A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
